I created this piece for the yearly AIDS: Postcards On The Edge benefit in New York City.
It just so happens that my birthday falls on World Aids Awareness Day…A Day Without Art. I remember when it was designated. Selfishly, I was upset that it fell on my birthday and that there would be no art to be seen in the galleries on this day.
As you move through time, I believe your empathy and understanding grows. The yearly AIDS: Postcards On The Edge benefit is one that I will continue to support and participate in with my art.
